If you put it on the internet, some people assume it's public domain. Generally, if you put it on the internet, someone will see it. A lot of people were quoted in that second article - it's basically a "look at all of these blogs and what they're saying" article.
The UUA needs a lesson in direct answers and not avoiding decisions that they themselves bring up. This is getting ridiculous.
I'm reminded of the decision for my district (MBD) to merge website under the MBD UUA site. They set it all up and gave us webspace and then simply directed our domain to their district site. There is no way to access the information the youth have put up and after months of complaining and them 'fixing' it they finally just admitted, 'you know we are not comfortable with youth putting up content that we don't put up for them' Basically after months of agreeing with youth and taking over our website they reverted it and we have no access to our website or means to organize online anymore. All of this is so frustrating!
UUlogy is meant to distribute information about the end of YRUU continental leadership structure. This site will also serve as a forum for past and present YRUUers to discuss and share memories. The YRUU Institutional Memory Project will enable the UU community to gain a better understanding of the events of the past few years as they relate to YRUU. Anyone may post to this blog and all submitted posts will be posted. To post, email yruusc@gmail.com with subject line "YRUU Institutional Memory Project." This is a blog maintained by the YRUU Steering Committee 2007-2008.
